Description
An old salvage-and-grey-transit orbital at a junction the Accord never fully governed — lawless because ungoverned, not lawless because evil. Patched, crowded, dangerous, human; everything painted fresh over something older. Built in rings (ring two, ring three, ring four); a transfer-spine on ring four; a docking trunk to coupling vessels. Its own clinic is a curtained corner of ring two with a printer and a prayer; no Accord asset, no rescue tug, no hospital. Maddox's people work the salvage and off-ledger transit trade — so when polite systems fail, only they can get a ship through.
Classification
Ungoverned orbital at a junction the Accord never reached; no Accord asset; off-ledger/grey-transit trade; the Combine pulled the clinic contract before B3.
Population
Rowan "Roan" Maddox — runs the salvage-and-grey-transit trade; the man who knows where the clamps are. Tariq Sabine — ran the clinic (DIED here, –16). Tamsin Vey — rig medic; helped Petrov's triage floor; survived.
Canon has not fixed this place in space, so the archive does not invent a coordinate for it. It appears in the gazetteer as unplaced rather than on the star map as a guess.
On the record
- The expedition diverts here (~2 days off the Causeway leg) on an authenticated distress relay: ring four's transfer-spine venting. Rescue + the Anchorage spectacular: Tobias Renn's cell exposes a hidden Combine/Quint staging package buried in the grey-transit/salvage system; Oduya's "Last Window" cell attacks the live transfer-spine with cutting charges while civilians and triage are aboard; Renn refuses, burns his own splinter, and helps stop them. Six dead at Spindrift (incl. clinic volunteer Tariq Sabine; the salvage rig Sefa lost,). Maddox gets the expedition clear (–17).
