Description
The station over Earth. "Gateway, market, embassy-row" for a hated Earth that is also "the multi-network hub." The Open Reach Survey's home berth — where the NV Dawnward departs from and returns to. Classification
Earth-side civilian hub; the Open Reach Survey's home berth. The Survey is a distinct civilian body (idealist civilians, not the fleet).
Population
The Open Reach Survey (director Renwick); embassy-row of a "hated Earth" with "powerful allies too — the Nhál foremost." Diplomatic and commercial population —.
Canon has not fixed this place in space, so the archive does not invent a coordinate for it. It appears in the gazetteer as unplaced rather than on the star map as a guess.
On the record
- ~2312 The Survey's home berth; Renwick runs the Survey from here; the briefing and the hero's welcome (thousands of celebratory gold ledger-marks; one previously-gold mark quietly flips to dark) both stage here.
- ~2313–16 The seat of the Survey review that grounds the crew; the Earth-side political centre as the finding goes public.
