Junction. Deep-field. The S8B5 first-formal-alien-contact site (the Architects). Bilateral precursor of S4's entity contamination arc.
Wound state
44-F is the post-Architects-contact site. Topology-layer communication and the Wound-shadow at deep-field junctions accumulate from this site onward. The 14-A vs 44-F distinction is the canonical "lost vs returned" dichotomy: Junction 14-A 2142 = Reidar lost (boundary destabilised; cabin recovered empty); Junction 44-F 2172 = Architects encountered (working agreement at topology layer).
Canon has not fixed this place in space, so the archive does not invent a coordinate for it. It appears in the gazetteer as unplaced rather than on the star map as a guess.
