He is also the franchise Easter egg: the great-grandson of Mads Tolfsen, the Drift-prequel payoff. The Tolfsen line runs through his mother's side (a granddaughter of Mads who married into the Vinter family), which is why the surname differs — the lineage is acknowledged on-page exactly once, by a senior figure who knew the name.
