The antagonist-in-shadow — the "Moriarty." An ex-ISCA seam-routing strategist who helped design and optimise the network's routing-expansion topology and understands the lanes physically and militarily better than anyone alive. He saw the Drag early and concluded the cure is control: seize routing authority, throttle by force, become the hand on every door. Charming, lucid, generous with credit, often right scene-by-scene; the man who makes control sound like responsibility, and is seductive because he is not obviously wrong in the moment.
