Lieutenant Commander; Chief Engineer of ISV Endurance — the man keeping an un-repairable ship alive on cannibalised parts and one drive commit at a time. Gallows humour, ferocious, perpetually exhausted; the reader's view onto the ship's decline. Kills the gardens (the after-bays/hydroponics,) to buy a fold — permanent; "they cut the gardens" is ship-wide knowledge — and hates himself for being right. Counted Mercer blocking the Geneva board of inquiry over the deck "twice, three times." His deck cuts the memorial wall with a torch. Re-sleeves Ascendant-pattern close-defence rounds.
