She runs a duplicate of Regime-B operational route material off Ravn's own reader and gives it to Kade. NOT bribed. NOT blackmailed. NOT seduced. NOT tricked. She does it because Ester Kade asked her, and because on this station Ester Kade asking is a thing that has always meant something, and because the reasons Kade gave were good ones. She is not stupid and she knows exactly what she is doing. Halden knows inside a day — it came off Ravn's reader and the reader keeps a count. she is neither sacked nor protected, and that is left visibly unresolved. Halden preserves the evidence; Corrigan defers referral for the duration of the emergency. Book 5 inherits a live file with her name in it.
