About
The Long Silence – US-bloc mission operations director: THE WIDENER (the second hinge of the distributed catastrophe). Name clear.
American; ~55; runs the operational side of the rescue programme. He is the one who widens the mission toward a permanent foothold. US-bloc by lock — aligns the widening with the franchise's locked American overreach-then-retreat canon and keeps the optics off the non-European leads. Converts Maren's + Eze's technical findings into an operational mission and widens its objectives; presses the validation when Sofía's warning forces a review and the E3 window won't slip. Part V: he pushes the one more unmanned pulse; Maren/Eze/Eide stop him; Maren breaks the anchor.
How they speak
Plainspoken American conviction; not slick — earnest. He believes every word. The danger is that he's sympathetic. (No franchise/planning shorthand in his mouth.)
