On the damper handle at the stair head every cycle from Saturday night onward, and the reason Navarro keeps him back for the second group: if the vehicle does not come, three people have to work the damper, the vestibule door and the heaters through the night, and one of them should be somebody whose hands already know two of the three. He nods once and goes back to the rota on the wall.
