She appears in Book 4 as a voice on a relay, alive, complaining about a delivery, and then the call drops and it is annoying. (Who Holds the Standard, chapter 4.) That is the entire brief and it is load-bearing. She is a woman with an opinion about a delivery, not a symbol, not a lament, not a last transmission. - No farewell. No last words. No premonition. No slow motion.
