keeping just enough in local cache to limp on when the link is thin. It cancels the room, isolates
the one signal that matters, matches it against the model, and renders speech back in near-real-time.
And every exchange it handles it feeds back up: the device gets better at a tongue the moment the
hive learns its pattern. It still drops the concepts that have no human shape. It still returns
nothing at all for a species with no discrete language to learn. But for the ones it has been
calibrated against, it is the closest thing to understanding the franchise allows — earned, partial,
and flagged with its own doubt.
