The Sable Reach — First Survey Chart

A reach is dark on the ledger until somebody goes there — which is the whole reason you send a ship rather than look it up. This is the first pass: nodes seeded, marks made, and the topology of the place established. Note the shape of it. Everything in the reach reaches home through one throat, and a chart with one door on it is not a map so much as a prediction.
