Energy lance
An Architect-residual weapon with a finite number of shots that can never be replaced.
In full
Built from recovered Architect residual, it projects directed boundary-disruption energy out to roughly fourteen thousand metres — and it is Wound-coupled, so it charges the same account everything else does. Its shot count is fixed by a topology substrate that cannot be replenished: the crew estimates about four hundred rounds for the rest of the ship's life. They use it accordingly.
Key facts
- Effective to roughly 14,000 m.
- Wound-coupled: every shot has a cost.
- About 400 shots total, for the vessel's remaining service life.
- The substrate cannot be replenished.
